Your help is urgently needed in the tremendous task of preventing pre-venting accidents and thereby putting an end to the ussles-loss ussles-loss of human life and material resources which they involve. Every day we hear and read of casualties that might have been avoided. Many are due t thoughtlessness and taking unnecessary un-necessary risks. Too often safety saf-ety precautions are regarded as evidence of weakness or cowardly coward-ly caution. But this is as far from the truth as that recklessness reckless-ness is a sign of courage. You, the women of our State can help prevent the high accident acci-dent toll of Utah's future. As mothers, teachers, business women, wo-men, community leaders, you are the ones we direct this column col-umn to, and ask for your service in the cause of safety. You can do much to promote an intelligent attitude toward accident hazards; to urge the adoption of safety measures in your community. No one organization organ-ization can do this job alone. We need to band together in this great public service. We need your help! Write to Mrs. Milton B. Fisher. President, Bountiful, Ut., The Women's Safety Council of Utah. |
