Show Deadline For State Fair Livestock Live-stock Entries Is September 19 Utah livestock exhibitors in the 1919 state fair will get an opportunity to enter their animals ani-mals in competition with entrants en-trants from Idaho under an agreement made with the Southeastern South-eastern Idaho Fair by J. A. Theobald, Secretary-manag.r of the Fair Board. For the first time, the deadline dead-line for entrants has been moved up to Monday, September 19, at 9 a. m. to allow exhibitors from Idaho to bring their animals ani-mals to Salt Lake City after the close of the Idaho event. Dates for the Utah State Fair are from Setember 16 through September 24. With plans completed for a vastly improved livestock judging judg-ing setup this year it is expected that more animals will be entered en-tered than ever before. A premium pre-mium list of approximately $10,000 is planned for the fair, which will attract many mort exhibitors than in previous fairs. This year's fair will be based on the theme: "A Forty-Niner Utah Fair" and the accent will be placed on agriculture and stock raising, Mr. Theobald announced. an-nounced. The colorful spectacle will be whipped into shape in Denver the week before the fair opens, and the event will arrive for its Coliseum opening ready to present pre-sent a letter-perfect show. Replete with new faces, costumes cos-tumes and many new acts, the show promises to be one of the most colorful and spectacular events ever shown in Salt Lake City, the fair manager an nounced. |
