Show Anne Hansen Dies At Spring City Tuesday Morning Mrs. Anne Marie Hansen, 92, passed away Tuesday morning. The causes being incident to oiu age. She died at the home her son, Joseph F. Hansen, where - she has lived the past year. She was born in Albeck, Denmark Den-mark March 4, 1852, and emigrate emi-grate to Utah with her parents, rtter Mickelsen Olsen and Karen Marie Christensen Olsen in 1862, crossing the pains in Madsen's campany. They made their home in Pleas-' Pleas-' ant Grove, Utah for a year and then moved to Moroni. Her parents par-ents were called to help settle Monroe. When this was given up they moved to Salina and the next spring were driven from there by the Indians and they returned re-turned to Moroni. In July 1866 they moved to Spring City where she has since resided. She was married to Hemming Hansen November 7, 1870 in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City. He died in June 1933. Mrs. Hansen was an active church member, having served as a Relief Society visiting teacher for 30 years. She was the oldest resident of this city at the time of her death, and she was the mother of 11 children. Six sons are living, Edward, Orson, Joseph F., Hyrum Leroy and Orland Hansen of Spring City and Henry Hansen of Murray, Utah. There are 45 grandchildren, 74 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Six grandsons and 3 great grandsons are in the service of our country. |
