Show 1 1 FOUNTAIN GREEN I I By Special Correspondence j Ladies Club News The Gloom Busters club met at the home of Mrs. Eva Jacob-sen Jacob-sen recently. All members were present. The usual program was carried out after which a hot dinner was served. The Modernettes were entertained enter-tained at the home of Mrs. Ethel Eth-el Williams Tuesday evening. Pinochle was the evening's diversion, di-version, following a delicious luncheon. Trousseau Tea at Mower Home In honor of Mrs, Allen Morris, a recent Driae, Mrs. ieona Mower Mow-er entertained at a trousseau tea Sunday afternoon between the hours of two and six. Many friends and relatives called and many useful gifts were presented pre-sented to the bride. Dr. E. G. Edmunds of Salt Lake City will lecture on the "Prevention of Cancer" Tuesday, December 10 in the Relief Society Soci-ety building. Everyone is invited. in-vited. Mr. and Mrs. A. Reed Collard had as their dinner guests Saturday Sat-urday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jensen, Elliott, Paul and Bonnie Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Cloward, Bruce and Kayle Cloward of Provo and Mrs, Hannah Faux of Moroni. The following evening they entertained en-tertained at a Sunday supper for Mr. and Mrs. Arthur J. Anderson, An-derson, Mr. and Mrs. Aury Draper, Dra-per, Mrs, Cora Madsen of Fountain Foun-tain Green, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Christison of Nephi. Mrs. Elna Nielson entertained entertain-ed Wednesday afternoon at a birthday party in honor of her daughter Lois' seventh birthday. Mrs. Ora Mayer entertained Saturday evening in honor of her daughter Geniel's birthday. The evening was spent in playing play-ing games and refreshments were served. Mrs. Beth Anderson entertained enter-tained Sunday for seventeen friends of her son Merrill whose birthday was observed on that date. Mrs. Ivy Otteson entertained Sunday for a number of friends honoring her daughter Donna whose birthday was on that date. Mrs. Vera Johnson spent part of the week in Salt Lake City, the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Stewart Carlson and children. Dorian Mikkelson of Salt Lake City spent the holiday week in Fountain Green. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ivory and children of Layton visited with relatives here during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Beck were Salt Lake City business visitors Monday, Mrs, Ivan Rasmussen is visiting visit-ing with her daughter, Mrs. Ruby Mangelson and family in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. James Guymon. Mr. and Mrs. Newel Guymon of Salt Lake City were Fountain Green visitors Sunday. Mayor and Mrs. Lyman Seely visited during the week in Tropic with Mr. and Mrs. Price Allred and children, and in St. George with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Tobler and children. Mrs. Verda A. Lund and son Harvey and daughter Dolores were Salt Lake City business visitors Saturday. Mrs. Ethel Anderson visited during the week with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Lucile Hansen -and family in Bingham, also with her son Glade in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Anderson were the guests of their daugh ter, Mrs. Rhea Lamb and family fam-ily of Prove, Thursday. Mrs. Rena Crowther had a her guests during the week hei grandson, Mr. Junior Cnulsen and bride of Hazelton, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Jensen of Fairview. Mr. and Mrs. Ned Peterson Pe-terson of Siandardville visited with their mother, Mrs. Ma Peterson during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Syme of ralt Lake City were Fountair. Green visitors recently.
