The following is a self explana-.ory explana-.ory endorsement. I have read carefully a part of Mrs. Hilda Longsdorf's manuscript manu-script from the history of Mt. lJieasant is about to be printed and published, and I am muen pleased with it. Mrs. Longsdorf has taken great pains to reach the original documents or sources from which reliable information can be had, and she has understood under-stood how to properly arrange the vast material collected for hat purpose. Being acquainted with books and pamphlets pubiisned as histories of other town and localities locali-ties in the Great West, I do not hesitate to state that in my opinion opin-ion the history of Mount Pleasant" Pleas-ant" tjy Mrs. Longsdorf will rank h:ghly as a most valuable contribution con-tribution to the historical literature litera-ture of the Church to which she has given her allegeance. She has, without predjudice as to religion, nationalities and color, treated everybody mentioned in the book with a fairness which will make the volume welcome in every household in the largest town and community in Sanpete Coun-.y, Coun-.y, Utah and vicinity. I bespeak for Mrs. Longsdorf's History of Mount Pleasant a liberal lib-eral patronage, which it richly deserves. Andrew Jensen, Assistant Church Historian. |
