Show Fairview Boy Killed In Texas Lieut. Allen E. Madsen Killed In Automobile Crash Funeral services for First Lieutenant Lieu-tenant Allan Ephraim Madsen, 2, Fairview, army officer killed Sunday in an automobile crash near Waco, Texas, will be conducted con-ducted Saturday at 2 p. m. in the Fairview South L D S ward chapel. chap-el. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Lieutenant Madsen, a passenger passen-ger in a n automobile driven by a companion, was fatally injured when the vehicle collided with a semitrailer truck loaded with cement pipe. He had been stationed sta-tioned at Camp Hood, Texas. A native of Fairview, he was born May 28, 1916, son Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Madsen. He was a graduate of North Sanpete high school in Mt. Pleasant and attended at-tended Brigham Young university universi-ty and the University of Idaho, where he was a member of the Intercollegate Knights. He enlisted in the army in March, 1941,and was sent to camp Hood for officers' training after being stationed for several months in southern California and Washington. He was advanced ad-vanced to fiist lieutenant in September, Sep-tember, 1943. He married Miss Mary Elizabeth Eliza-beth Henry of Waco, Texas September Sep-tember 4, 1943. Survivors include the widow; his parents; a brother, Lloyd W. Madsen, Fairview; three sisters, Mrs. T. Rex McKean of Oakland, Cal.; Eva Rae and Karma Madsen Mad-sen of Salt Lake City. |
