Show Road Commission Makes Patrol Appointments W. D. Hammond, Chairman of .he Slate Itoad Commission, has announced the appointment of tin new men to the highway pa-Uol. pa-Uol. Of these, six are additions lo the patrol and four are replacements. re-placements. The appointments arc as follows: Eldridge W. Wood, Vv'iliard, Box Elder County; Ar-.hui' Ar-.hui' Reed Collard, Fountain Green, Sanpete County; Nepni Merrill Johnson, Kanab, Kane County; Neldon S. Evans, Lehi, Kenneth E. Ilarr's, Pleasant Grove, and Edward H. Sandgren, Provo, Utah County; Theodore C. London, Croydon, Morgan Coun-ly; Coun-ly; Joseph W. Dudler, Kennil-worth, Kennil-worth, and Nicholas S. Thomas, Consumers, Carbon County; and Samuel B. Hatch, Vernal, Uintah County. This makes a total of 13 patrolmen, patrol-men, including replacements, appointed ap-pointed to the patrol this year, bringing the patrol personnel to f.7, and practically completing the recommendations of the International In-ternational Association of Chiefs of Police in so far as additions to the patrol were concerned. The new appointees have reported re-ported for' duly and have received receiv-ed their assignments and instructions in-structions from Supt. R. W. Groo. The sergeants in charge of the various d stricts will give additional addi-tional help to the new men, m-Uiucting m-Uiucting them in police methods and practice. It is expected that a school for patrolmen will be conducted some time in the near future as soon as instructors are available. |
