Show Sanpete Boy Wins Honors Paul E. ChrisSensen Graduates From Oklahoma Pilot School M.. Heber Christensen of Moroni Mo-roni announces the graduation of his son, Paul E. Christensen from Pilot School at Frederick, Oklahoma. Flight Officer Christensen received re-ceived his commission and wings on February 1, 1945. After enlisting in the Air Corps on November 2nd, 1942, he went into reserve for nine months. Upon Up-on being called for active duty-July duty-July 12, 1943 he reported to Sheppard Field, Texas for six weeks basic training. The ncx; 5 months were spent at a College Training Detachment Detach-ment at Sherman, Texas. Upon graduating from there he entered ! pre-fhght training at San An-j An-j tonio, Texas for a period of three months. From there he went to Primary flying school at Stamford, Stam-ford, Texas and from there to Basic flying school at Perrin Field, Sherman, Texas. Next and last was advanced school at Frederick, Oklahoma where he received his wings and will report re-port back there for further assignment. as-signment. His wife, Mrs. Esther Christensen, Christen-sen, has been with him throughout through-out his training and will accompany accom-pany him back to Fredrick, Oklahoma. Okla-homa. Flight Officer Christensen had a two weeks furlough beginning February 1st, so Mr. and Mrs. Heber Christensen and Mr. and Mis. Harold Christensen left on Sunday to meet Paul and his wife at Salt Lake City, where a family reunion was held on Monday Mon-day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Angus Izaats after which Mr. and Mr. and Mrs. Har-' Har-' old Christensen returned home, but Mr. and Mrs. Heber Christensen Christen-sen remained in Salt Lake City until Friday evening and were accompanied home by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Vance and. son of Murray. Three family reunions were held in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Christensen here in Moroni, after which they returned to Murray Mur-ray on Sunday evening. Paul's many relatives and friends at home extend their congratulations con-gratulations to him in his fine achievement. |
