Show SPRING CITY 1 By Special Correspondence Funeral For ReVerl Aiken Funeral services for ReVerl Aiken were held in the Spring City ward chapel Thursday of the past week. Bishop James F. ilhs was in charge of the services. Music was furnished by the ward choir. The songs were "Beautiful Home," by a class of schoolmates, under the direction of Mr. Lee Reese. Song by the choir "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," the solo part being given by Reese Bunnell. A duet, "Let The Little Children Come," was given by LaVell Rasmussen and Rose Scho-ficld. Scho-ficld. The prayers were oitered by Chrisian Sorensen and Vivian Larsen. The speakers were Mrs. Eva Ericksen, Ried H. Allred, Bishop Ellis and Erwin Gee of Moroni. The grave was dedicated by Evan Aiken. ReVerl Aiken died at the home of his parents, Ferrance and Crystal Johansen Aiken on Saturday Sat-urday December 16. He had been ill a long time, suffering from a kidney ailment. Mr. Aiken was born in Castle Dale October 6, 1925. He is survived by his parents par-ents and five sisters and a brother, Bernell. His sisters are Betty, Lois, Coleen, Lu Dean and Fonda Kay Aiken, all of Spring City; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Niels Johansen of Moroni and Lorenzo W. Aiken of Spring City. Mr. and Mrs. John Mayers accompanied by Mrs. Vivian Larsen Lar-sen were visitors at the capital city on Thursday of the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Acord and small daughter of Cheyenne, Wyoming are spending Christmas holidays here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Acord and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest B. Terry. Leslie Nunley has returned from the D. L. L. Company at Iosepa for a visit here with relatives. rela-tives. Mrs. Daniel Jensen and son, Heinz Larsen were Ephraim visitors on Friday last. The ward primary gave a Christmas party in the Victory hall on Friday evening. Mrs. Otto Henkle, Ferrie and Mac Anderson of Salt Lake City are visiting over the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Andersen at Spring city. Blair Pederson of Salt Lake City was a Christmas visitor in Spring City. Hildred Frandsen, nurse in training at the Salt Lake General hospital visited at Christmas time with her mother, Mrs. Peder Frandsen in Spring City. Shirley Carlson of Eureka visited Sunday with Mrs. Mina Carlson, her mother and other relatives in Spring City. A Christmas program was presented pre-sented Sunday in the ward chapel to a joint Sunday school and Sacrament meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Justesen gave a dinner Sunday to children, grandchildren and other relatives at their home in Spring City. Out of town guests were, Mr. and Mrs. Don Justesen and daughter of Spring Canyon, Mr. and Mrs. Varl Morgan and children of Fountain Green and Mrs. Sheldon lustensen and baby of Moroni. Mrs. LaMont Jensen was a hostess host-ess at a Christmas dinner given to a number of relatives at her home on Christmas day. Mr. and Mrs. Josepn Beck had as guests during the holidays, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Stubbs of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Arnold-sen Arnold-sen of Moroni. Mr. and Mrs. John Coleman had as guests during the holidays iVir. and Mrs. Sam Cabebe of Bingham, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Coleman of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Christensen of Moroni. Mrs. Allan Beck entertained Thursday the Lettitia club mem-.ers mem-.ers at her home in Spring City. Willard Puzey, Delbert Peder-oen, Peder-oen, Richard Thompson and Scott Zabrisky came home for a 5 days' visit from the Zion's CCC Camp. Mr. and Mrs. John J. Edmunds announce the marriage of their daughter, Ilene to Mr. Earl Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ishmael Beck of this city on Wednesday of the past week.
