Show Ferron CCC Camp News The Mess Hall received another finishing touch with the laying of a 3-fo.t strip of linoleum lengthwise length-wise through the center of the room. The kichen is also being remodeled. ( modern air vent is installed and the walls and ceiling are being covered with veneer board. This will be painted with white enamel. Minor charges will also be mad? in the kitchen utensil uten-sil arrangements. Our basket ball team took a twe-day trip to Provo, March 5th to 6th. The fir t night they played play-ed the Telluride Motor squad . a very fast gam? with a losing score of 36 to 37. The opposing team is considered one of the best in Provo as all the players were letter men. Our men gave them the hardest game of the reason. Saturday night th? Ferrcn CCC team met the Provo CCC team in another hotly contested game with a winning score of 43 to 39. The players received very courteous cour-teous treatment and made use of their spare time visiting places of interest, thus making the trip worth while from every point of view. Conelpany 959 basket ball team played in the Gold Medal Tournament Tourna-ment held in Ferron, March 10, 11 and 12. The first night they were matched with the Ferron' high school and won with a score of 53 to 39. March 11 they were matched up with the Orangeville M Men' .and again carried off the victory with a sccre of 46 to 36. This put our teaml in line for champions against the "North Emery Profs" who had also won two games. In the final game the CCC team put up a hard fight but lost with a score of 38 to 48. As winners of second place they were given the silver trcphy and eight silver basketball medals. The men who played in1 the tournament were: Allan Cox, Gene Cox, Sheril Blackham, Albert Vogrenic,- Harry Vegrenic, Edmund Bird, Mark Tanner Tan-ner with Joe DeLuca and e June Marshall in reserve! ' Harry Vogrenic was presented with two gold medals. One for being be-ing the outstanding player of", the tournament and the ether as- a member cf the All-Stair team. - Sheril ''Blackham was -. presented with the bronze medal for member of -the :nd all star team- . ' Albert Vogrenic- was given a bronze , medal as a, member of. the 2nd all star team. Educational . Adviser Arthur E. Berkmian spent March 9 and 10 attending Adviser's Conference at Fort Douglas. Captain Luke , Ktrillln mad? a business trip to Fort D-euglas on March 10th. Three pieces cf- upholstered furniture furn-iture were recently added to the Recreation Hall..
