Show Gleaner Girls Honor Mothers Mrs. H. C. Jacobs, Gleaner leader, was hostess to the girls and their mbthers at an afternoon tea held Thursday, August 18th, on the beautiful beau-tiful lawn at the rear of her home. Beautiful flowers made an excellent background for the girls in their l'crmal dresses. A lovely corsage was presented to each mother. Miss Carol Reynolds, Gleaner president, welcomed the mothers, 2nd Miss Fern Mcintosh, general chairman of the tea, announced the prografni. Splendid entertainment was flrovided. A little girls quartet under the direction cf Mrs. Ethel L. Ericksen, sang several numbers. The Gleaner Che: us and Gleaner Trio led by Mrs. Opal Scovil, also sang. Musical numbers were furnished by Miss Edna And rson, Miss Maude Jacobsen, Miss June Barton and Miss Francis Roberts while delicious refreshments were being served. A color scheme of green and orange was carried out. Punch bowls, flowers and candles decorated the table. |
