Blackham left Monday fcr a tour to the World's Fair in Chicago, Chi-cago, to Montrose, Iowa, Nauvco, Illinois, Independence, Mo. andt Denver, Colorado. They will return home about August 1st. Between 55 and 60 Future Farm-fa Farm-fa of the Moroni High school returned re-turned Saturday night from a trip ts Bryce Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bruno and Mis. Mrs. Fitzgerald visited last week with her mother in Moroni. Summer playground work was begun be-gun last Friday afternoon under the direction of the Sorosis club. Children from the ages 3 to 12 inclusive gather each Friday afternoon af-ternoon cn the city hall lawn at 3 P. M., where teachers conduct kindergarten, sewing, dancing, story sto-ry telling and games. Miss Mary Hansen is visiting m Orangeville with relatives - and friends. William Draper, Dale Christensen and Cloyde Draper went to Joe's Valley and Emery to the forest camp last week. Mrs. Spencer Christensen and daughter Eunice cf San Francisco are visiting relatives in Moroni. Mr. and Mrs. William Bulow returned re-turned to their home in Provo' Tuesday after visiting in Moroni and Manti. Friday afternoon of last week the lightning struck the home of Ephie Nielsen, stunned his wife in the hous; and killed twenty-three chickens in the coop, but no damage dam-age was done to the house or buildings except to blow the fuses cut. Mrs. Annetta Reinsamer of Salt Lake City is visiting at the home cf her brother, - Mr. Frank Little. The Sons and Daughters or the Pioneers are w-orking hard to make the July ?4th celebration a big success. suc-cess. The general committee are as follows: John D. Bailey, Soren C. Nielsen, John I. Morley, Mrs. Marvin Mar-vin Anderson, Mrs. Eliza Br.'.dley, Mrs. Andrew Bradley Jr., and Mrs Hyrum Blackham Jr. Miss Amy Bulcw has been selected select-ed for Utah 1933 and Mrs. Caroline Caro-line Lawritzen for Utah in 1847. There will be a program at 10:30 in the morning; sports for children at 1:00 P. M.; ball game, horse races and novelty stunts at the ball park at 3:00 P. M.; childrens' child-rens' dance at 7:00 P. M. in Joy-land. Joy-land. There will be two big dances in Jcyland beginning at 12:05 July 23rd and continuing until dawn. The dance July 24th will last from 9 P. M. to 3 A. M. Celebrate at Moroni and you will not be disappointed. |
