Show ! FOUNTAIN GREEN ! ! By Special Correspondence j Born to Mr. and Mrs. Altcn Col-lard, Col-lard, August 19th, a boy. Tliey are at present with her parents in Mt. Pi asant. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Carlton Barerrtson, August 20, a boy. An accident which could easily have liiad serious results happened last Friday forenoon as Bishop Anthony Winters was driving towards to-wards home In' his car. His son Oris, age 11, who was standing on the running board and holding to the car when in some way he lost his balance and fell to the ground. His father stopped the car immediately imme-diately and hurrying to his son he found him in an unconscious condition. con-dition. He rushed him to his home and medical aid was summoned. He did not regain consciousness until the next morning. He is feeling much improved now. Mr. and Mrs. WU1 Christensen of Downey, Idaho, visited last week with relatives and friends here. Lamb Day which was held on August 19th and 20th was a real success. All the committees who worked so energetically felt well paid for their efforts. Every part of the program for both days was well attended and with ideal weather weath-er was enjcyedl by everyone. The delicious barbecue sandwiches were served on Thursday to 3500 townspeople towns-people and visitors. Everyone is hoping that this celeration will be observed every year. The Misses Zora, Mildred and Berneice Nash of Salt Lake City are spending a few days here with relatives and friertds. Miss Ruth Hermansen of Ephraim is a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Perry Allred. Mr. and Mrs. N. E. Jensen entertained enter-tained a large number of relatives and friends at their home cm Monday Mon-day evening at a shower in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Graham who were1 married In! July. A large number was present who enjoyed en-joyed games, a program after which delicious refreshments were served. Many beautiful gifts "were received by the young couple who have the best wishes of everyone for a long, happy and successful married life. Rena Crowther received word this week of the illness of her daughter. Mrs. Lee Coulson of Haz-elton, Haz-elton, Idaho, who underwent an operation op-eration for removal cf appendix when her infant son was only ten days old. Mrs. Crowther left immediately im-mediately for Idaho to remain indefinitely. in-definitely. The many friends here of Mrs. Coulson are wishing her a speedy recovery. Mrs. Averil Larsen entertained at a party for her daughter Emma Lou on her seventh birthday Monday. Games were played after which delicious de-licious refreshments were served to ten of her young friends. |
