Show Julius Christensen Dies at His Uoene at Moroni Scores of out' of town relatives and friends joined with local people peo-ple in impressive funeral services in the Moroni Tabernacle Saturday. Satur-day. February 18, for Julius Christensen, Chris-tensen, a civic and religious leader cf this city. Mr. Christensen died February 15 at his home in Moroni Mo-roni of a heart ailment which had afflicted him the past seven years. He was bcrn at Haversloe, Denmark, Den-mark, April 22, 1860. In 1882 he came to America, settling in Joliet, Illinois and later moving to St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1886 he came to Salt Lake City as a convert to Mormonism, later coming to Moroni Mo-roni where he has since resided. In 1891 he married Mary C. Niel-son Niel-son qf Moroni, and eight children, seven of whom' are still living, were born to this union. His wife died in 1912. In 1902 Mr. Christensen Chris-tensen fulfilled a mission for the L. D. S. Church to Norway, Sweden Swed-en and Denmark. Since his return he has held several religious and political positions in this locality. He is survived by three brothers. Henry, Joachim, and Soren C. of Moroni; two sisters, C. hristin a Christianson, Salt Lake and Juliana Juli-ana of Hobro, Denmark; five sons, Julius Otto of Salt Lake, and Wesley, Wes-ley, Sherman, Darrow and Dale jf Moroni; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur G. Anderson of Fountain Green and Mrs. E. Arnoldson of Moroni; also seven grandchildren. The funeral program follows: "Oh My Father," Moroni choir; invocation, Mayor Franklin Hansen, Han-sen, vocal duet, "Just Beyond Jordan," Mrs. P. J. Draper and Mrs. Elmo Irons; remarks, Patriarch Patri-arch Orlando Bradley; vocal solo, "Grey Haired iDaddy," Professor Ray Anderson; r e ma rks, Jabea Faux; vocal solo, "One Sweetly Solemn Thought," Mrs. Hilda Christianson; reading, "Rock Me To Sleep," Myrtle Christensen; vocal vo-cal solo, "He Knows! My Heavenly Father Knows," . Professor F. J. Faux; remarks,. Bishop Ephraim Nelson; "Shall iWe Meet Beyond the River?" choir; benediction, Heber Christensen. Floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. .
