Show Facts And Figures The average weekly wage of union un-ion workers in the United States has alnvjst steadily continued to 'ncrease during the past 20 year.-i until the year 1931. The only exception ex-ception tc this rule was in 1922 when the weekly wage decreased 5.4 per cent below that of the year before. In 1931 the decrease was very slightly below that of IMP, but has been increasing in rapidity of decline since that date. Food commodities have reduced in price since 1929. so that in 1931 the weekly wacc of the average union worker would buy just twice the amount of food thnt the same workers wage would purchase in 1913.--Smithy. |
