Show CONFERENCE OF WESTERN COLORADO M0RM0N5jraND JUNCTION GRAND JUNCTION, Colo., Nov. 28. A conference of nil Mormons Mor-mons in Western Colorado will bo held in this city nt Odd Fellow's Hall on December fth and President John L. Herrick of tho Western West-ern States mission will be here from Denver to deliver the principal prin-cipal addresses. The conference will be open to the public ami a general invitation has been issued to everyone to nttend and hear the doctrines of the church expounded. Six elders of the church arc now in this city and will remain here until the conference, when they will be assigned to stations in Western Colorado by President Herrick. They are Joseph J. Roberts, L. D. Robinson, Jnmcs A. Fnrnsworlh, S. Leo Miller, Simon H. Stevens nnd Ernest W. Cardon. These ciders all work without salary cither from the church or from the contributions of their congregations. They pay their own way and serve from two to three years in the mission field. There nro now about two thousand of these ciders In the field. Tho Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a membership mem-bership of about forty-five in this city and probably two hundred in Western Colorado. From seventy-five to a hundred members nro expected hero to attend tho conference. |
