Show Options Are Fifsd si Industrial Plant Site North or" Geneva Steel - Purchase options have been filed on 102.58 acres of land located west of Consolidate Steel and north of Geneva with strong indication that the land if purchased, is intended in-tended for Industrial use. The options were recorded Friday Fri-day afternoon by Blaine M. Simons of the Local Realty Company of Salt Lake City, a subsidiaiy of Tracy-Collins Trust. Mr. Simons declared he did not know for who the land was being optioned, or for what purpose it might be intended. He said his firm had been instructed merely to secure the options on the land. At least one of the owners of the land, however, said he had been told it was to be used for "industrial expansion." A member of the Utah County Commission said it was also his understanding that industrial use for the land 1 was planned if the purchase was consummated. Utah County is involved in-volved in the transaction because it owns 15 acres right in the middle of the 102.58 which have been optioned op-tioned from private interests. Mr. j Simons of the Local R.ealty Co. said he has been assured by county coun-ty commissioners they would sell the land if "we want to buy it." This would make 117.58 acres in one block bordered on the south by the north Geneva plant property proper-ty line, on the east by the Consolidated Consol-idated Steel property, and on the west by the Denver and Rio Grande ' Railroad1 tracks. ! The Options are secured from ! five property owners and cany the right to buy the land at a ! stipulated price anytime up to July 1, with a renewal clause en- ' abling extension of the options to Dec. 1, 1956 if so desired. Total offered for the 102.58 acres is S44.650. I |
