Show TB and Health Association Selects Executive Secretary At a recent meeting' of the Utah County Tuberculosis and Health Association, Mrs. Earl Kirk of Pleasant Grove 'was selected as the new Executive Secretary of that group. She replaces Mrs. Gerald Ger-ald Klemm of Pleasant Grove. At the same meting Mrs. Klemm was elected 'as a member of the Board of Directors and to the Executive Ex-ecutive Committee. She gave the annual report for the past year in which she stated that in carrying carry-ing out an effective program there were $2,458.36 spent on case finding find-ing alone in Utah County. X-rays were taken at two general gen-eral hospitals in the county and there were 3,200 patch tests distributed dis-tributed to physicians for use 'on school children and any patient in need of a diagnosis. Mrs. Rae Christemsen of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, is also a holdover director dir-ector of the Association. Tentative plans were made to bring the Mobile X-ray unit to Pleasant Grove again in the fall of 1957. The 1956 visit to Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove showed that there were 359 local people X-rayed during the two day stay hei e. Of that number, num-ber, 5 were tuberculosis suspects, 1 heart suspects, and 27 people showed other pathology present in the chest, Mrs. Klemm stated. |
