Show Olpins to Attend Temple Dedication In New Zealand Lewis E. Olpin left here - this morning (Thursday) on the first lap of a trip to New Zealand. His first stop will be Walnut Creek, California, where he will be joined by Mrs. Olpin and after spending a day with their daughter Kath-ryn Kath-ryn Weeks and family on April 12, at San Francisco they will board a Pan-American plane to Hawaii, arriving there Saturday night. They plan to spend Sunday in Hawaii, and will leave Monday for New Zealand, arriving the same evening at Auckland. Prom here, with their party, they will tour the Island and on April 20 will attend the dedication of the New Zealand LDS Temple at Hamilton. Mr. Olpin anticipates a very enjoyable time visiting old friends and scenes of more than 40 years ago, when he served in the LDS mission field there. Among friends he will see will be Richard Marsh, who as a boy came with Mr. Olpin to this country coun-try and grew to manhood in the Olpin home, and after serving an LDS mission among his own people and receiving his release, decided to make his home in his native island. The Olpins and their party are scheduled to return home on April 27. |
