Show Council Hears About Power, Tax Problems at Monday Meet Mayor Harold D. Westring of Lehi met with the City Council at the regular meeting Monday night, relative to problems pertaining per-taining to municipal electric power pow-er systems. He called attention to the fact that with the completion of the Central Utah Reclamation project, pro-ject, considerable electric energy will be available to Central Utah communities. But, the various cities cit-ies should be laying the ground work now in order to insure the consumation of the project. Meetings are currently being held in Central Utah cities which now have municipal power systems, sys-tems, in order to organize a solid front in the matter, Mayor Adams Ad-ams said. At the Monday night meeting Mayor Adams sounded an urgent ur-gent request for letters and lots of them. What he wants is letters let-ters from farmers of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove area protesting .the proposed 10 per cent hike in the assessment of farm lands in Utah County. The letters should be addiuss-ed addiuss-ed to Mayor Adams and delivered to him at o'.v'tv.' "Next week ho will meet with the State Tax Commission to protest the raise, in the far levy.
