Show Vandals Destroy Property On Road, And In Cemetery A serious splurge of vandalism within a period of four days has local law enforcement officers scratching their heads, according to police chief Glen Newman. A group of teen-agers wrought havoc in the Pleasant Grove City cemetery Monday night. Headstones Head-stones were pushed over, and in several cases the markers were so completely demolished as to make replacement or restoration impossible. Harold S. Walker, city sexton, estimates the resultant damage as at least $300. Chief Newman also reports that on the preceding Monday night, youthful hoodlums dropped a number num-ber of railroad fish plates on the hisrhway at the Union Pacific un- derpass. Whether or not the missiles mis-siles were aimed at passing vehicles ve-hicles is not known at this time; but the sharp edges of the steel obpects did nearly $300 damage to automobile tires before they were discovered and removed. Both of these incidents remind us again of the seriousness of the teen-age problem in our community. commun-ity.
