Show Improved Services For Vocational School Planned Plans for improving the services offered by the Central Utah Vocational Voc-ational School were formulated at a recent meeting of the school's Advisory Committee, according to Karl Banks, publicity chairman. Committees were-'appointed to set up Entrance and Graduation requirements, Scholarship Standards, Stand-ards, Course of Study Adjustments, Adjust-ments, and Methods of Increasing the Financial Resources of the school. As stated by Ernest Dean, School Services Coordinator, the the overall purpose of the new advisory setup is to improve the educational quality of the services rendered; and to adjust the work of the school more nearly to the needs of the students who attend. The wide area from which the students come, and the variation in ability and experience of the prospective students, makes such an evaluation and adjustment nec-cessary, nec-cessary, Mr. Dean emphasized. Committee assignments, as released re-leased by Advisory Committee Chairman Arthur D. Coleman are as follows: Entrance and Graduation Standards Stand-ards Committee: Ivan Blain, Glen Wanlass, Reed Allen, Clarence Ashton, Orson Miner, Levi Barber, Ralph Child, Moyle Parker, and Walter Seiter. Scholarship Committee: William Wonnacott, Melvin Hanks, Emory Andrews, Myron Fulrath, William F. Broadbent, Eldon Westover, and Don Manson. Publicity Committee: Karl Banks and Ernest Dean. Finance Committee: LeRoy Johnson, Verl Dixon, Wilson Sor-enson, Sor-enson, Myron Fulrath, William Woonacott, Joe Rowley, J. C. Mof-fit, Mof-fit, W. J. Bond, and Orson Miner. Course of Study Committee: Reed Allen and Don Madson. These committees according to Mr. Coleman, will hold separate meetings in the near future, and prepare reommendations for the consideration of the entire Advisory Advis-ory Committee membership, at the next general committee meeting. |
