Renae Orton Wins Runnerup Honors Renae Orton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Orton of Pleasant Grove, was awarded second place honors at the Silver State Stampede Stam-pede Queen contest held in Elko, Nevada, May 28, 29, and 30. Miss Orton was runnerup to Queen Elizabeth Cook of Salt Lake City. The thirteen contestants were judged on beauty, personality, poise, and speaking ability. Prior to, and following the contest con-test the candidates were honored at a series of breakfasts, luncheons lunch-eons and dinners. The girls also participated in golf, tennis, and bowling. On the evening of May 29, a coronation ball was held in their honor. Renae has been invited to return re-turn to Elko and attend the Silver State Stampede as an honored guest, on June 25, 26, and 27.
