Show ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEWS Five BYU Seniors have been assigned as-signed to Grcvecrcst School as Teacher Trainees, five days each week for the spring quarter. They are Mary Lou Jefferies, Jane Clyde. Helen Druke, Charlotte Nelson, Nel-son, Venice Rae Bartlette and Wendell Jackson. In addition, three 'participators' have been assigned three days each week. These young people will observe ob-serve and help for the next twelve weeks, but will not actually teach. They are Nanette Santistevan, Elaine Hicken, and David Gordon. ESN Through the cooperation of Policeman Pol-iceman John Huntsman, a safety film "Dick Wakes Up," was shown to the entire Grovecrest student-body student-body last Friday. ESN "The months of the year" is the theme of the combined Second grade program for the parents of the Grovecrest children on Friday, March 30 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Teachers who are assisting the boys and girls in preparation of the numbers for the program are Mrs. Inez Meservy and Mrs. Vera Wagstaff. ESN New BYU Seniors assigned as teacher trainees at the Central School for the spring quarter include in-clude Vilma Bethers, Heber; Georgia Geor-gia Bullock, Pleasant Grove; Hans Johansen, Denmark; Rae Mae Theobald, Provo; Jackie Gatenby, Provo, and LaJean Rees, Ogden. ESN Teachers and students of Central Cen-tral School express appreciation to the Pleasant Grove Police Department Depart-ment for the showing of the safety film, "Dick Wakes Up." Other safety films furnished by the AAA. are expected to be shown from time to time. ESN The early spring faculty party was enjoyed Monday night at Central Cen-tral School. Thirty-one teachers, I employees and their partners en- joyed dinner and Easter games. ESN PTA Executive Officers of Central Cen-tral School held a meeting Monday Mon-day afternoon at the school. On the discussion agenda were the following fol-lowing items. 1. The planning of a PTA meeting meet-ing for April 12. 2. Details regarding the school May Day activities for early May. 3. Selecting delegates for the coming State PTA convention' in Salt Lake City. 4. Completing the purchasing of a set of Compton's Encyclopedia for the school library. |
