Show Testimonial For Five Retiring Teachers Will Be Held In Orem Thursday, April 22 Five retiring educators of the Alpine District Schools will be honored with a testimonial on Thursday, April 22, according to Lyean Johnson, Pleasant Grove, President of the Alpine Education Educa-tion Association, sponsoring organization. or-ganization. The affair is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in the Westmore School in Orem. All teachers of the district dist-rict are invited to attend the activity, act-ivity, which will include an honor assembly, a luncheon, and a recre ation hour. I The five teachers who are retiring retir-ing from active service at the close of the current school year are: Superintendent D. R. Mitchell, Mitch-ell, Lehi; Principal George W. Larson, Pleasant Grove; Luther Luth-er Giddings, American Fork; Hilda Knudsen, Lincoln; and Josie G. Walker, Pleasant Grove. Special memorial recognition will be accorded Assistant Superintendent Super-intendent Leo Hansen, Lehi; and Principal Jesse M. Walker, American Ameri-can Fork; who died in service during dur-ing the present school year. Assisting Mr. Johnson in plans for the testimonial are, Quinn for the testimonial are, Wuinn Hatch, Lincoln; E. A. Beck, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, and Basil Dorton, Lehi. |
