Show BUILD YOUR FUTURE IN UTAH VALLEY As September draws to a close, the canyons and mountains are a blaze of color. Nature seems to reserve her greatest display of beauty for the waning days of the growing season. A trip over the mountain roads of Utah valley at this time of year is an inspiring and breath-taking experience. With all it has been a pleasant summer here in the Inland Empire for a two-week vacationer or the week-end nature lover. Our numerous num-erous canyon recreation areas have been thronged with thousands of visitors, who relaxed in the cool of the mountain vistas, or plied their fishing lines over the spark- lin gcanyon streams. Few of us pause to realize that all these enjoyable assets are the direct result of the National Reclamation Rec-lamation Program and the resource-conserving facilities of the Forestry Service. Without these two programs no sizeable tree nor flowering shrub would be left growing in our mountain areas. It's a funny thing about some people unless restrained by enforced regulation and legal action, act-ion, they will destroy the natural beauty of the canyons and deface or render useless the recreational facilities provided for their use and enjoyment. Greater Utah Valley, Inc. pays tribute today to Reclamation and Forestry, the two great national programs that have done so much to make life worth living in the great Western Empire. We invite all of our citizens to enjoy to the fullest the closing days of our outdoor season. |
