Show Local News On Sunday afternoon, Feb. 25, the returned missionary gToup from Timpanogos stake enjoyed a testimony meeting in the Second Sec-ond ward Relief Society hall. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. Duane Harper on Wednesday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Smith, and Bernell Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Stoddard and two children, all of Provo. At the Timpanogos Stake Mission Mis-sion broadcast over Station KCSU 5 to 5.30 p. m. on Sunday, March 4, a chorus of 50 Hollanders will provide a musical treat. Speakers will be two recent converts from Holland. On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. S. Duane Harper had as dinner guests Mr. and Mrs. Jack Strong and son, Mr. & Mrs. Reed Strong, Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Newman of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Radmall and Miss Joan, who was celebrating her ninth birthday anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton, and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Jensen of Provo were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hilton on Feb. 22. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Hilton enjoyed dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hilton. All dry-farmers of North Utah County are invited to met at the Lehi Memorial building on March 7, at 1:30 p. m. where problems pertaining to crop production will be discussed by trained men of the soil conservation service. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Carlson and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Frandson were 1 Saturday evening guests at the home of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest L. Sweat. The evening was spent in playing Canasta, after which a light luncheon was served. Mrs. Merrill N. Warnick is this week attending- the 4-H Club school at the Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural College at Logan, where she was a speaker at one session. On Friday noon Mrs. Warnick will conduct a meeting of the 4-H Old Timers Club, of which she is president. Mrs. H. S. Walker expresses deep felt appreciation to the many townspeople who called and offered offer-ed help in compiling the early history of schools in Pleasant Grove. Still seeking vital information informa-tion covering a period of 25 years, Mrs. Walker would be happy to contact anyone, who can give names or information of any school teacher, trustee or janitor, etc., who served during the period from 1855 to 1880. The Carl Carlson family motored mot-ored to Salt Lake City Sunday where they visited with their daughter and sister Mrs. Helen Carlson Ongley and family. The occasion being Mrs. Ongley's birthday. The afternoon was spent in visiting, and viewing television tele-vision completing the evening's entertainment. Present to wish Mrs. Ongley well were: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carlson and Carolyn; Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Gililespie, and family; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Coll-edge Coll-edge and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Carlson. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Adamson of Pleasant Grove, and Mr. and Mrs. Bert Adamson of American Fork, returned early this weeli from a very pleasant trip to the west coast. Going by way of Los Angeles, they drove into Mexico, back up the coast to San Francisco, Francis-co, and back to Los Angeles, and Glendale, where they visited, and saw points of interest in the coastal coast-al area. They returned by way oi Las Vegas, and Saint George, anc report a very super vacation trip, with something new and interesting interest-ing every day. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wesl returned Tuesday evening from e ten weeks visit in California. A1 Southgate they were house guests of their daughter and son in law Mr .and Mrs. Roy Swenson anc daughter Sharlyn, also Mrs. Mabe Swenon. They also visited witl Mr. West's sister Mrs. Arthui Bush and family at Los Angele; and Mr. Roy Sweat and family ai San Bernardino, also with Mr West's sister Nettie West Cartel and family. Mrs. Carter's hus band died during the West's visi' in California. Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Yates, anc Tommy, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Clark Mrs. Arnold Henrichsen, Mrs. Nat Loader, Mrs. Elaine Hunsaker Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Tomlinson Mr. and Mrs. Ben. Adams, Mrs Luella Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Eld en Wright, Maxine Wright, were among local relatives and friend: who attended the funeral of Mrs Elizabeth Yates on Wednesdaj afternoon.
