Show All-Out Campaign On Rats Declared In All Utah County All communitiecs in Utah County Coun-ty have declared an all-out war against rats during the week beginning be-ginning March 19. This will be a cooperative campaign cam-paign carried by the Cities, County, Coun-ty, State Department of Agriculture, Agricul-ture, U. S. Fish and Wild Life, and the Extension Service of the Utah State Agricultural College. I One thousand pounds of Red Squill bait and a 1,000 pound -of Warfarin bait have been ordered for the big slaughter. It is recommended by the County Coun-ty Rat Control Committee that Red Squill bait be used the first 3-4 days to kill the ones that will take tie bait, because it is a much cheaper killer and does the job much faster. ! After the majority of the rats have been killed with Red Squill bait it is recommended that Warfarin War-farin bait be used until complete eradication is reached. This may be as long as 30 days. Warfarin is an anticogulant and is slow in action, but due to the fact that it is tasteless, odorless, and colorless the rats never get bait-wise. Rats will eat the bait if put out properly until every last one of them are dead. This bait should be used in boxes or in protected pro-tected places as it is dangerous to other animal. Sample boxes will be on display at the bait stations, feed houses and stores. Plan to build one or more for use on your premises. Bait will be available throughout through-out the county beginning Monday morning, March 19, through 24. Follow instructions on the con-trainers con-trainers and let's kill those destructive, de-structive, disease carrying, food wasting ratty rats. |
