Show Open House Is j Held at Hooleys j I Two hundred relatives and friends on March 8, called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Hooley to bring good wishes and felicitations to the revered couple on the 65th anniversary of their marriage. Open house was arranged by the sons and daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Hooley, and everything was done to make the occasion a happy one long to be remembered. In the living room roses and other cut flowers as well as beau- , tif ul potted plants were every-1 where in evidence of the love and respect which was tendered the Hooleys by relatives and friends. The serving table was centered by a gorgeous wedding cake, flanked with white and pink can- . dies. ! The bride and groom of 65 years, smilingly and graciously received all callers, and enjoyed the afternoon immensley. Alonzo and Sarah Park Hooley Hool-ey were married March 8, 1886, j and have during the intervening ' years lived on their farm in' Lin- don, where they have both taken a keen interest in both church and i civic affairs .besides wrestling ; from the soil a living for their large family. : They are the parents of 13 children, child-ren, 9 of whom are living. They are: Wm., Roy, Arnold and Ver-land Ver-land Hooley of Lindon; Leo and Leonard Hooley of Orem; Mrs. Arnold (Delilah) Clegg of Provo; Mrs. Ray (Merle) Kirk of Mid-vale; Mid-vale; and Mrs. George (Melda) Terry of American Fork. They have 54 grandchildren and 78 great grandchildren. |
