Show Saturday, 2 p,m. P G de A&'emia A big time is expected at the Pleasant Grove rodeo grounds on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2 p. m. when the Amateur Rodeo gets underway. The rodeo is being be-ing sponsored by the Lindon Fair Committee. Lindon Town Board Chairman W. D. Chapman will lead the grand Entry. Many horsemen and horses are expected to make this a big amateur show. Steer and calf riding and roping will be done by young bronc riders rid-ers as well as the old timers. A wild cow milking contest will afford af-ford anyone an opportunity to get their milk suppy for one day free, as well as furnishing many laughs and thrills. For the young people only there will be a wild goose chase which will give some young person an opportunity to take home a fine big goose just for catching him. A special queen contest . (for men only) will demonstrate the fine qualities of our local Beauties. Beaut-ies. Very strict and rugged qualifications quali-fications must be passed by the contest entries. Horseracing and bronc riding will make the afternoon very enjoyable en-joyable for everyone. Hamburgers, hot dogs, candy, pop, and ice cream will be for sale during the rodeo. Committee for the Rodeo are as follows: Gail and Paul Pack, tickets; Kenneth Gillman, Wild Goose chase, Wild Cow Milking, Races; June and Richard Cullimore, queen contest; Reed Gillman, Calf and Steer Riding; Victor Vicklund and George Jackland, concessions; Rena and Harold Keetch, Advertising; Adver-tising; Doris and Willard Johnson, Secretary and Treasurer; Oliver Johnson, President of Fair Board. Stock for use at the Rodeo will be furnished by Arnold Hooley, '- -' Snow" Gillman, Leonard ' Walker,-and Walker,-and Rug. Smith, The Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days Rodeo Association As-sociation is furnishing the rodeo grounds and the loud speaker system. |
