Mayor W. Robert Marrott ap-. pointed the following people as Pleasant Grove's Centennial Committee: Com-mittee: John Fugal, Elwood Allen, Rex Gourley, Irwin Jensen, Ella Jackson, S. Duane Harper and Estelle Es-telle Fenton. The appointment was confirmed by the city council and the committee will take the lead in the preparation of a program for the centennial year, which will be climaxed by a celebration on Sept. 13th, the birthday anniversary anniver-sary of this city. Following the appointment the committee members elected Elwood El-wood Allen as chairman, Ella I Jackson as secretary; Rex Gourley Gour-ley chairman of publicity and Estelle Es-telle Fenton chairman of publications. The Centennial Committee will cooperate with the already existing exist-ing organizations in handling the events (luring the year, the first being the Old Folks Party on Feb. 11th. The detailed schedule of events to be assisted by the committee has not been definitely set up, but will be announced after their next meeting.
