Show Local News Mrs. Ray Devereaux. daughter Dena and son Norman visited in Heber Saturday and Sunday with their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Ora Sweat and other relatives. relat-ives. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams and daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Benteen Mundy and two daughters all of Layton, visited Sunday with their parents, Mr .and Mrs. J. T. Williams and .other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Jacobs with Mr. and Mrs. Keith Wagstaff of Am. Fork enjoyed an airplane trip over Southern Utah and into Arizona this week. Leaving at 7 a. m. the party flew over Southern part of the state, enjoying dinner at Kanab, crossed the Arizona border bor-der line and arrived back home at 3.30 p. m. Young Jerold Jacobs was honored honor-ed at a birthday party on WedT nesctay afternoon, his 8th birthday; anniversary, when his mother Mrs. Keith Jacobs entertained 8 youngsters young-sters at an outdoor party. Gaines and refreshments- were enjoyed. Lads who came to wish Jerold a "Happy Birthday" were Dan Adams, Ad-ams, Don Peay, Craig Smith, Oris and Bryant Roundy, Mark War-nick, War-nick, John, Paul Maxfield. Mrs. Ellen Ellis was happily greeted on her birthday anniversary anniver-sary by a number of her close friends. The afternoon was spent in friendly and social chat. A tasty lunch was served by the hostess, then her nice gifts were opened and cards read. The afternoon was enjoyed by the following guests: Mrs. Joe Robison, Mrs. Elizabeth Fillmore, Mrs. Ed. Ball, Mrs. Alby Warburton, Mrs. Annie Anderson, Mrs. Margaret Anderson, Mrs. Vic tor Barney, and Mrs. Ernest Jense. Mrs. Emma Westbrook and son Chad Westbook of Pheonix, Arizona, Ari-zona, visited Saturday with Mrs. Westbook's brother and sister in law, Mr. and Mrs. Victor' Barney. The Westbooks came to Utah to attend the L D S conference and visited here enroute home. Other visitors at the Barney home were Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Barney of Salt Lake City, and S. Sgt. and Mrs. Rex King and two children of Monterey, California, who are visiting in Utah and spent a day here with Sgt. King's grand-par-j ents Mr. and Mrs. Barney. |
