Show formation to sing the song "The Stars Will Remember." j The Junior Class would like to express their thanks to the school and the town for their suppport. flint m HIGH SCHOOL NEWS EASTEJt ASSEMBLY Our Easter assembly last Friday Fri-day was a little on the serious side, but after all, Easter is a serious day. The assembly was very interesting, interest-ing, and many thanks should be given to the Seminary. The Seminary obtained a film from the University of Utah. It was concerned with the trip that a company of Morman church leaders conducted to represent the first original trek made by the first company of pioneers to arrive in. Salt Lake City. ,t A pageant representing the resurrection res-urrection of Jesus " was presented by the students from the various Seminary classes. : F. F. A. Dale Gillman received the State Farmer degree at the State Future Farmer convention held at the Newhouse Hotel in Salt Lake City on March 26 and 27. He was one of forty-eight young men to receive re-ceive this high award which is limited to two precent of the State FFA membership. , To receive the degree of State Farmer, one must accomplish outstanding out-standing work in his agricultural projects, in FFA activities and community leadership. Included in Dale's fine record are good projects proj-ects in dairying, beef, and sugar beets, four years in chapter offices, off-ices, three years as treasurer and this year as president. He has been on several livestock and dairy judging jud-ging team, and has been a leader in 4-H club work in his community. commun-ity. Others from the school who attended at-tended the two day convention were Dan Atwood and William Robinson, who were the chapter delegates, and Jea'nV Fugal, advisor. ad-visor. - ; -,' JUNIOR PROM Friday, March 26, under dim lights and the soft dreamy music of Wes Berry's orchestra, the students stu-dents of P. G. High School danced amid the atmosphere of the Junior Prom theme, "The Stars Will Remember". Re-member". The Junior class committee worked hard on the arrangements and were well rewarded with a successful evening. About one hundred couples and other visitors turned out for the gala affair. The theme of the dance was beautifully portrayed in the star studded decorations which provided provid-ed an appropriate setting. Ai cutstand feature of the dance was the promenade of the Juniors who marched forth through a huge silver star down the stairs and on the main floor where Guymon Adams introduced the class. Following the promenade the group joined hands into a star |
