Show Manila Farmers Complete Plans On Conservation The completed farm plans on 9 farms at Manila covering a five year period were discussed and approved ap-proved at the meeting on Monday March 29, 1918. This was the second sec-ond meeting held with this group. The conservation work to be established is: Land Leveling, 167 acres; Concrete Irrigation pipe, 2,000 linear feet; Irrigation structures, struc-tures, 62; Fencing. 440 rods; Removing Re-moving fruit trees. 400 trees; Plaiting fruit trees. 500 trees; Planting pastures, 13 acres; other practices to be establiihed arc crop rotations, cover crops, green manure, fertilizing, rodent control, drainage and farm ponds. Those present were Leo P. Harvey, Har-vey, supervisor of the Alpine S. C District. J. H. Harvey. Charles W. Warnick, Keith Jacobs, Nyal Wad-ley. Wad-ley. Merrill Allen, William M. Richardson, Rich-ardson, H. Deen Hailsei, Lehi and J. Dale Schott, District Conservat-! ionist from Provo. j Mr. and Mrs- G. L. Smith. Mr. i anci Mrs., Harvey Smith and son Craig, Don Smith, Betty Diamond and daughter Carol formed a merry mer-ry picincing party on Easter Sunday. |
