Show Funeral Rites Held Saturday For Hans Nielson Impressive funeral services were conducted Saturday at 1 o'clock in the Third ward chapel for Hans Nielson, who died last Wednesday of a heart attack. Directed by Bishop Neil Y. Fug-al, Fug-al, the service opened with a vocal solo "In the Garden of Tomorrow" sung by Miss Nadine Johnson, and accompanied by Miss Beverly Wright. Pastor Stoft of Salt Lake City read a brief sketch of Mr. Nielson's life and later used as his text the Savior's words, "No man cometh to the Father but through Me." A vocal solo "Hold Thou My Hand" was sung by Miss Alene Rasmussen, accompanied by Mrs. Emily Pedersen. Second speaker was Daryl Huish of the bishopric, who paid high tribute to Mr. Nielson as a craftsman crafts-man and music lover and (Sffered words of sympathy and appreciation appreciat-ion to his family. After closing remarks re-marks by Bishop Fugal, Miss Alene Al-ene Rasmussen and Mrs. Ida Mae i Christianson sang the closing num- ber, "In the Garden". They were accompanied by Mrs. Emily Pedersen, Peder-sen, who also played prelude and portlude organ music. Benediction was pronounced by Elwood Sundberg. Internment, directed dir-ected by Olpin Mortuary was made in the Wasatch Lawn Cemetery in Salt Lake City. 1 |
