Show sembly was held in connection with the Homecoming' Dance. Some facsimiles fac-similes of the Seniors of '4S were presented, and following that an election of King and Queen was held. Those running for this coveted covet-ed position were: 10th grade, Arlyn Adamson and Joan Roundy; 11th grade, Jerry Bradley and Arden Louder; 12th grade, Denie and Doug Beck. It was hard to decide among the fine contestants, but after careful calculation, it was found that Denie and Doug were victorious. The royal tw ins reigned over the Homecoming Dance at night, after being crowned by the Student Body presidents of the last two years, Bob West and Arnold Matthews. Everyone who attended agrees that the dance was very much a success, ad I'm sure all who attended atten-ded had a good time. We'd like to say a word about Pat Anderson, chairman of the dance. She, with the help of the committee, did a super job. All the Seniors of '49 are looking forward for-ward to there being another Homecoming Home-coming Dance next year. Why not think it over ? Applications have been sent to the homes to be signed by both parents and students, so the positive pos-itive number of Yearbooks to be purchased will be accounted for. We expect to put on full steam next week to make the 1949 Valk-yre Valk-yre the best yearbook Pleasant Grove High school has ever seen. Pep Club Initiation Did some strange creature come up to your husband on Monday night and ask him for a date ? And did that creature look loke Lil' Abner or Superman? Well, lady, you need worry no more. Your husband is safe. That "creature" was just some new Pep Club member who was being initiated. The sixteen new members had to dress in the roles of their favorrite comic character and then, of course, the old members mem-bers helped out with their costumes cost-umes in some way put eggs in their hair, lipstick on their faces, etc. The new girls are now officially members and even after what they went through on Monday they are still glad to be in the Pep Club.
