Show Parents Honor Newlyweds At Reception The First ward recreation hall was the scene of a very gay party last week when Mr. and Mrs. Glen Wadley entertained at a wedding reception in honor of their daughter daugh-ter Doris Faye and Paul Peterson, who were married earlier in the day in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lighted candles cast a warm glow over the bridal party, who received relatives and friends in front of the large window at the end of the hall. In the lineup were the bride and groom, their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wadley and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Peterson of Lehi, matron mat-ron of honor, the brides sisterKMrs. Byron Carter, maid of honor Miss Mama Peterson, the groom's sister and Miss Barbara Lynn West, Miss Diane Thorne and Miss Elaine Ol-pin, Ol-pin, bridesmaids. Don Peterson serg ved as best man for his brother. Linda Wadley, MaraDee Peterson Peter-son and Georgia McMillen were the pretty little trainbearers. Ushers were Byron Carter, Wallace Berry, Glade Walker, Jack Westover and Johnny Johnson. The bride was charming in heavy satin gown entrain with a long trailing veil, that cascaded from a beaded crown. She carried a bridal brid-al bouquet of pin carnations, held with pink satin ribbons. Mrs. Carter was gowned in a pink formal, while Miss Peterson chose peach, Miss West and Miss Olpin wore blue and Miss Thorne chose orchid. All carried pink and white carnations fastened on white satin. The little trainbearers wore pretty pink and white formals and carried matching nosegays. Mrs. Wadley and Mrs. Peterson wore long dark gowns on which they pinned roses and gardenias. Guests were greeted at the door by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Peterson and Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Westover. Lewis D. Olpin was master of ceremonies and ably introduced the program. There was a piano solo by Betty Page, a violin solo, "Love's Greeting" by Joann Ellison accompanied by Joan Boley, a reading by Maxine Nelson Adam-son, Adam-son, a trumpet solo by Ronald Driggs, accompanied by Howard Paxman, and a vocal solo by Russell Russ-ell Webb accompanied by- Mrs. Webb. Dancing and refreshments and viewing the beautiful "display of gifts completed the evening's entertainment. |
