Show NEW SOLDIER RECEIEVES MUCH SOCIAL ATTENTION DURING WEEK Leon Thome, who left Monday for Fort Douglas to enter the U. S. Army has been complimented by freinds and relatives during the past week. On Friday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Sjoberg entertained at dinner at the Chicken Roost in Springville in honor of the young solider. Covers were laid for the hoored guest, his mother Mrs. Garnet T. Nebeker, his sister Miss Betty Thome, Miss Joyce Bennett of American Fork and Mr. and Mrs. Sjoberg. On Saturday morning, Leon's grandmother Mrs. A. F. Gaisford entertained at a breakfast for Leon at her home in Lehi. On Sunday Mr. anc Mrs. J. LeRoy Thone entertained the Thorne family at their home on First West Street, in honor of their nephew Leon Thorne. The guest list included, besides the honored Ruest, his mother Mrs. Garnet Nebeker, his sister Miss Betty Thorne, his grandmother, Mrs. Regina Thorne, Mr. and Mrs. Lonard Sjoberg and Mr. and Mrs. Sid Culimore of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. LeRov Thorne and family. |
