Mr, Webb was the speaker of the evening. The stake presidency, the bishops, bish-ops, and their wives were invited. Most of the student's parents were present. We had a very interesting program pro-gram first, luncheon was served and enjoyed very much by everyone every-one present. V JUNIOR PROM The Junior Prom, the most important im-portant social event of the school year, was presented Thursday night, December 23. The theme of the decorations was "Christmas Reverie." It created cre-ated an atmospeher of just what it suggested; an atmorsphere beautiful beau-tiful and romantic. At the same time a wholesome spiritual attitude atti-tude was reflected. A capable Salt Lake orchestra made every one present "trip the light fantastic'" in a way as never before. The committees are as follows: Prom. Chairman: Lee McMillan; Advertising: Ruth Brown, Eugene Hilton; Decoration: June Adam-son, Adam-son, Richard Paulson, Joy Freeman, Free-man, Robert Schoell, Cloyd Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, and Marilyn Warniek; Promenade: Geniel Cullimore; Artist: Dawn Marie Adams; Programs: Pro-grams: Joan Baxter, Edna Hooley, Geniel Cullimore and Ruth Brown. The reasons we are not dismissed dismis-sed for a week as it has been other yars is the delay we had when school started. (We was out two' weeks for Polio,) We are also required to hold school for 17.'! days. SEMINARY ASSEMBLY Beinninn with a story of the Nativity n very fine assembly was presented Thursday for the hifch school student body by the Seminary. Sem-inary. Following the story of the Nativity came a revelation of how-Christmas how-Christmas is observed in foreign lands, Christmas carols were Mintf. Then old Saint Nick came with presents for the i;ood hiimiiIhts of the faculty and student body. All of which went to make a very iutorstitur assembly. BASKETBALL SO FAR To date the Vikings have played four pre-season practice Raines, including a game with the alumni of the school. Two of the games, one with the Alumni and one with Spanish Fork were, played on our home floor, while games with Springville and Spanish Fork were played away. Incidently, the Vikings Vik-ings were defeated in all four games. The scores follow: Springville -IS; P. G. 2 Spanish Fork 31 : P. G. ID. Alumni .".'J; P. G. 1!. Spanish Fork 3 1; P. G. 10.
