Show Community Pays Last Respects To Edward W. Winn The community paid last respects to Edward William Winn at impressive impres-sive funeral services Sunday afternoon after-noon in the Third ward chapel. Bishop Frank G. Shelley conducted the services. Mr. Winn died Thursday of a heart ailment, at his home here. He was 77. Speakers at the funeral services were Jonathan F. Steggell, Earl S. Greenwood, and Bishop Shelley. The services were opened with a number, num-ber, "Beautiful Zion, Built Above", by the Relief society trio, Mrs. La-Docia La-Docia Wagstaff, Mrs. Edna Boley and Mrs. Leona Anderson, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Ann Shipley; and invocation by George E. Abel. Moral D. Steele sang "Lay My Head Beneath Be-neath a Rose," and the closing number, num-ber, "I Need Thee Every Hour", was sung by the trio. F. C. Pectol offered of-fered the closing prayer. The grave in the American Fork cemetery was dedicated by George F. Shelley. Mr. Winn was born in London, England, on November 10, 1863, a son of Edward and Mary A. Trinna-man Trinna-man Winn. When a child, he came to America with his parents. After spending a few years in New York City the family moved to Salt Lake City. Mr. Winn married Marguerite Adamson of American Fork, who died many years ago. He later married mar-ried Minnie Adamson of American Fork, who died in 1930. Mr. Winn had resided at various towns in Idaho and Utah, engaging in farming. He is survived by his widow, lone Ercikson Winn of American Fork; a son, Ray Winn of Heyburn, Idaho; a daughter, Mrs. Leon Osterhaut of Declo, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. R. W. Jones of Long Beach, California, and Mrs. Earl Carlisle of American Fork; 17 grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. |
