We happy Seniors received re-ceived our beautiful commencement commence-ment cards written in Old English Eng-lish on May 2nd The day we received them we were all kept very busy exchanging exchang-ing name cards with one another and placing them in a memory book which came with the name cards. These cards will be cherished by us as keepsakes because we have worked twelve years for them. FASHION SHOW The girls did a little snowing off themselves fn the disguise of a fashion parade Friday, May 2nd, for the benefit of the boys on Girls' Day. This' is the first time a show of this type has been put on for boys entertainment : and it seems it went over very well. Miss Rowley was the creator of ' this progressive idea. The girls of all grades were the models; the fashions were the latest and most remarkable was the fact that the girls made all the clothes they displayed. The stage was decorated very beautifully with drapings of solid colored material of blue, pink, yellow, yel-low, and green. Ferns were placed in the corners tp give the show "that professional look". Geniel Adams presented the girls one at a time in their turns according acc-ording to the type of clothing they modeled. All this assembly was under the direction fo Miss Colleen Rowley. GIRLS' DAY "Something different," was what every committee member wanted for guests, anything, just so it was different. They thought and pondered and finally like a bull chasing a girl in a red dress the ideas started flowing in. If we're going to serve why serve in the kitchen? the weathers nice, how about an old fashion picnic. So, a picnic it was, hot dogs with all the trimmings and punch served out in the park. A few sitting here and a few more sitting there, girls with girls and boys with girls and even boys with boys, after all it was girls day and few lucky boys had dates. There's nothing like school traditions tra-ditions to make the school years ring out with memories and so for girls day a new tradition started, the tug of war between the grades. The hatchet is now in the possession poss-ession of Sophomores who have Hwo years to defend the title of "the best tuggers". Faculty and students joined hands in three large circles to finish the 'noon hour playing "too late for supper." The assembly opened to the parents par-ents of the Senior High, was a fashion show. "Crazy fun is the only way to describe the fun and frolic at the dance. Only a small group attended attend-ed but for once tHe old proverb, "the more, the merrier" wasn't I true to fact.
