Show Junior High Promotion Enerdsas 14fh SUNDAY EVENING PROGRAM THIRD WARD Dr. T. L. Martin of the Brigham Brig-ham Young University will be the speaker in the Third ward Sunday evening May 11 according to Bishop Bis-hop N. Y. Fugal. Special music is being arranged FIRST WARD The S. A. Kirk f-.,Sr will furnish fur-nish the program in the First ward next Sunday evening. All ward members are invited to be present. GROVE WARD In the Grove ward sacrament meeting at 5:30 o'clock, President Merrill N. Warnick and Mrs. War-nick War-nick will be the speakers. Special musical numbers are being arranged arr-anged by chorister Reva Ahman. May 14 wilj be red letter day for the Ninth grade at the High high school. Promotion exercises will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 for all those who have attained the necessary requirements to be admitted ad-mitted into the Senior High. A constitution for the Junior high school was drawn up last fall under tiie direction of Mr. Rees, which provides for promotion exercises exer-cises to be held. This is the first time this has been done and we hope it will be successful and become be-come a regular feature of our school activities. A suitable system of awards has also been worked out and these awards will be made at the services. serv-ices. Awards will be made for scholarship, music, journalism, athletics, .a civics award given by Mr. Rees and an award for student stud-ent body officers and student body council. The climax to the day will be a dance in the Gym in the evening. We hope that all Junior high students will help to make "Junior High Day" a success. Ray Nelson 1 |
