Green entertained enter-tained at a shower Friday evening for Miss Carrol Hatch of Provo, who is leaving for Pensacola, Florida, Flor-ida, where her marriage to David A. Green will take place. Lucile Anderson of the B. Y. U. Mask club read the three act play "Susan and God," after which the remainder of the time was spent playing Bingo. Mrs. Donna Ash received re-ceived first prize, and Mrs. Lela Banks second. The house was artistically decoro-ated decoro-ated with pussy-willows and daffo-dills. daffo-dills. Refreshments, in Easter motif, mo-tif, were served to forty guests. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Green on Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. Will Sterling, Mrs. '"Vie Russell, Rus-sell, Mrs., Ella Miller and son, Russell, Rus-sell, all of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ferguson, Miss Carroll Hatch of Provo, and Mrs. Wllma Myers of Boise, Idaho. Mrs. Alva Chipman, former member mem-ber of the Mother's club, was a guest at the homes of two of the club's charter members, Mrs. H. W. Jacobs and Mrs. C. A. Gammette on Friday. She was accompanied by her son, Stanford, his wife, and two children. West Jacobs, manager of the Pleasant Grove Canning company, left by plane Thursday morning for San Francisco. He will return on Saturday night. Jean Adamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Adamson, who is attending the L. D. S. Business college, col-lege, spent the week-end with her parents. Mrs. Wilford Stark of Lindon, who recently underwent an operation for goitre, at the L. D. S. hospital, is at home again and improving steadily in health. Mrs. Hugh Jacobs of Heber spent the past week at the home of her son, H. W. Jacobs, leaving on Sunday Sun-day to visit with another son, Tom, at Orem. Miss Delilah Fugal is back at her work in the local Postoffice after a five weeks' illness, which kept her at home. Mrs. Mary Olson spent Sunday in American Fork visitting at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lavina Smith. A birthday dinner in honor of her granddaughter's twentieth birthday was the occasion. Mrs. C. A. Fugal received a much appreciated birthday greeting on Sunday evening when her daughter, Mrs. Leah Huntsman, called her by long distance telephone from Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Huntsman's small daughter, Marilyn, whose birthday was the same day as here grandmother's, also sent greetings. Yellow and green was the color scheme of a dinner served to members mem-bers of the "Friday Evening" bridge club by Mrs. H. E. Bradley at 7:30. The living room was attractively decorated for Easter, and clever Easter favors were given the guests. After the dinner, contract bridge was played. Mrs. Milo Bean won first prize and Mrs. Clyde Clark second. The guests included the following mesdames: J. W. Prince, G. T. Braun, Milo Bean, Van Beebe, Merlin Mer-lin Jones, Clyde Clark, Ralph Hed-quist, Hed-quist, and a special guest, Robert Murray. . The Relief society anniversary program and dance held in Manila ward chapel on Monday evening under the direction of the president, Mrs. Nettie Warnick, was highly successful. A play depicting the original organization of the society, was directed by Adena Swenson and Florence Carter. Music was by the Relief society chorus. Readings were given by Leah Jean Swenson and Florence Carter. Mrs. Bill Beal w:as a visitor at the Vern Gillman home this week. Mrs. Laura Robertson attended a P.-T. A. convention at the B. Y. U. Saturday, where she received valuable valu-able information about school lunches. lunch-es. Verda Radmall attended the funeral fu-neral of a friend in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Garland Clark visited with her mother in Santaquin last weekend. week-end. Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Jacobs, Kay. and Ann Alene, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lucius laudie of Orem on Sunday. Smith spent Saturday in Ogden visiting with Mr. Smith's mother, Mrs. Mary A. -Smith and his brother, J. H. Smith. Mrs. Robert Marrott entertained the Feality Bridge club at her home on Thursday afternoon. New officers offi-cers were elected, after which the afternoon was spent at bridge. On Saturday evening Mrs. Elden Johnson entertained at dinner for her brother, Glen Royle of Lehi and a missionary companion, Wayne Bushman, both of whom recently returned re-turned from the California mission. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Webb of Spanish Fork, and Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Royle of Lehi. Word has been received by Mrs. Florence Pierce Ball of the birth of a six-pound baby girl to Mrs. Fern Pierce Pendrak at the Park City hospital. Mrs. Pendrak is the daugh ter of Mrs. Ball. Mrs. W. R. Frampton returned Saturday from a visit with her daughter, Mrs. J. L. Huchel of Brig-ham Brig-ham City. Cyril Johnson who has been in the American Fork hospital since Thursday, with a case of pneumonia, is recovering in a gratifying manner. man-ner. St. Patrick's day was the motif for the decorations and attractive birthday cake with its many candles. Dinner was served to the following sons, daughters and grandchildren: Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Walker of Tooele, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Moyle and children of Alpine. Miss Virginia Walker of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Walker and family of Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Farr of Pleasant Grove. Talented members of the group presented a short program. pro-gram.
