Show D.U.P. Camp Holds Meeting "Pioneer Homes and Buildings of Early Utah" was the subject of a lesson given by Mrs. Lucile Walker at the regular meeting of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers held at the home of Mrs. Fern Smith Wednesday afternoon. Interesting highlights of the lesson were the circumstances and details of the building of the Beehive House, the Amelia Palace, the Salt Lake temple tem-ple and tabernacle, as well as accounts ac-counts from old journals telling how the pioneers were able by barter bar-ter and trade to erect comfortable homes with very little money. . The meeting was conducted by Vice Captain Janet Mills, with invocation in-vocation and benediction by Mrs. Adeline Hone and Mrs. Elvira Olpin. Ol-pin. Chorister Cleone Kirk led the singing. - Following the meeting dainty refreshments re-freshments were served. ' n |
