Show Strawberry Day Was Very Successful Affair The twenty-first Utah Strawberry Straw-berry day is over, and the people from all parts of Utah who were in attendance had a most enoy-able enoy-able time the celebration was a complete success from every standpoint. stand-point. The highlight of the celebration was the two parades, where peppy bands and beautiful floats headed by Uncle Sam, and with a color guard of United States marines carying Old Glory with such beautiful floats as the Queen's float with Miss Reva Adams, queen and attendants Miss Sharley West, Lucille Gray, Shilrey Harris and Faye Tomlinson; Miss Pleasant Grove's flot, with Anna Rose McMillan Mc-Millan as Miss Pleasant Grove and Virginia Ellis and Mary Mills as attendants. There was a fine representation of floats from Pleasant Grove business bus-iness houses, as well as neighboring neighbor-ing communites. The free strawberries were enjoyed en-joyed very much by the large number num-ber of people in attendance, and especially the visitors from other commnities. The fact that the celebration was a succses warrants a vote of thanks and appreciation to the members of the executive committee commit-tee of the chamber of commerce who labored long and hard to put over such a fine celebration. In addition to the executive committee, commit-tee, the women of the various wards are to be complimented for the work they put forth in fact, much credit should be given to everybody who helped to put over another successful celebration. The free entertainment consist- ing of Softball games, free dog acts, and dance review was enjoyed en-joyed very much by those present. |
