Show Newest Canning Methods To Be Demonstrated Latest and most scientific methods of canning a maximum of fruit with a minimum of sugar, and how to prevent losses resulting result-ing from improper sealing of jars "will be demonstrated at the Mountain Fuel Supply Company auditorium, Wednesday, June 13, at 7:30 p. m. under the auspices of the Utah State and the Utah County Nutrition Council. Miss Georgia M. Amick, home economist and canning expert, will conduct the demonstration,! which is open to the public. Miss Amick is a home economics graduate grad-uate of Oklahoma A. and M. College and former Oklahoma Home Demonstration Agent. Miss Amick's demonstration will include the latest and best methods of canning fruits and vegetables, and it is expected that ;:he will clear up some of the quest ons homemakers have had this past year in regard to the failure of lids to seal properly. Miss Amick will emphasize methods meth-ods of canning without the use of sugar. On Tuesday, June 12, Miss Amick will meet leaders of various var-ious groups and organizations, in a leadership conference at 2:00 p. m. in the Mountain Fuel Supply Sup-ply Company auditorium, Provo. |
