Show LIEUT. FISHER HOME AFTER HARROWING EXPERIENCES Mrs. Fred S. Shoell has been informed of the safe arrival of her nephew Second Lieutenant Earl Fisher, son ol Sheriff and Mrs. George Fisher of Park City. Lieut. Fisher was believed missing, miss-ing, after the B-29 which he was piloting was shot down by a suicide sui-cide plane during a raid over Tokyo. No more was heard by relatives here, until last Saturday when the young officer called his father from Ogden and arrived here sometime later. Lieutenant Fisher states that after the B 29 was struck, the crew bailed out and that he with five others were rescued by an American Ameri-can submarine after being in the water 24 hours. They were rushed to Siapan from which place they were flown home by a government plane. Lieut. Fisher's wife and young child live at Park City.. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. King and son Clark of S'chofield, spent last Sunday and Monday here, with Mrs. King s brother H. W. Clark and family. Jens P. Fugal, who has been confined, to his bed with illness for several week and Mrs. Fugal were cheered Sunday afternoon by the presence of their entire family, who cam from far and near. They were Mr. and Mrs. Milford Gardner of Afton, Wyoming; Roy Fugal of Bridgeport, Conn.; Mrs. Anna F. Bailey and son John Charles of San Diego, California; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Swenson o'f Provo; Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Fugal of Midvale, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Wright of Salt Lake City; Mr. nd Mrs. Jean Fugal and John Fugal A-C. Tom Grua and his mother Mrs. O. E. Grua of Salt Lake City visited one day last week with Mr. and Mrs, H. W. Clark and family. The young air-cadet who has been visiting in Salt Lake City has returned re-turned to his station a Bakersfield, Calfomia. His mother returned with him to California and will visit relatives there. At Pomona she will visit her sister Mrs. Bruce Allen and family; at San Jose with Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Taylor " and family and at San Francisco with Lieutenant and Mrs. Ward S. Clark and son Paul. ' Mrs. G. Y. Anderson attended the Val Norn tea at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd L. .Cullimore at Provo Tuesday. The very pleasant pleas-ant affair- was in honor of the mothers of . the Val Norns. Mrs. Anderson was the guest of her daughter Jean. - Mrs. Helen Moses underwent a major operation Friday. Mrs. George Hansen, Pleasant Grove, is receiving medical treatment treat-ment at the hospital this week. Harold Anderson, who suffered a fractured leg May 30, was removed re-moved to his home Tuesday. Babies arriving at the hospital during the past week are: May 31, to Mrs. Odell Christen-sen Christen-sen and Mrs. B. C. Linebaugh, both of Pleasant Grove, sons. June 3, to Mrs. Jack Cyphers, American Fork, a boy; to Mrs. Jesse E. Miller, Pleasant Grove a girl; June 5, to Mrs. Morlin Conder, American Fork, a boy. |
