Show Am. Fork News An outstanding social event of the week was the bridal shower given in Firmage hall Tuesday night honoring Mrs. Don Searle, formerly Miss Helen Adamson, a bride o'f last week. The hostesses for the affair af-fair were the bride's mother, Mrs. L. A. Adamson and the mother of the groom, Mrs. Leslie Searle. Two hundred and fifty attended- The guests were received at the door by Mrs. Adamson and Mrs. Searle, Mrs. Leon Scott of Salt Lake and Mrs. Robert Brown of Spanish Fork. As the guests assembled In the amusement hall, musical entertainment entertain-ment was provided by Miss Mildred Richards, Miss Chloe Friday and Miss Vivian Greene. Later in the evening a program was given with Miss Grace Parker in charge. Miss Alice Parker assisted in arranging the program. The numbers consisted consist-ed of a vocal duet by Mrs. E. H-Boley H-Boley and Mrs. Leon Wagstaff, accompanied ac-companied by Miss Alice Parker; a humorous paper by Mrs. Mary E. Abel; a vocal trio by Mrs. Don Searle, Miss Donna Cleghorn and Miss Joan Greene, a reading by Mrs. E. Ray Gardner and two ac-cordian ac-cordian solos by Miss Donna Cleg-horn. Cleg-horn. Downstairs a pink and white color scheme was employed in the refreshment re-freshment room. In the center was a table covered with a lace cloth over pink, centered with a beautiful arrangement of garden flowers and at each end was a crystal candelabra candela-bra with pink princess tapers- The color scheme also predominated in the refreshments, which were prepared pre-pared by Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Parker, Park-er, Leon Scott, Mr. and Mrs. Max Searle, and served by Misses Mar-iam Mar-iam Harrington, Gwen Nelson, Donna Don-na Cleghorn, Joan Greene, and Charlotte Chipman. Miss Alice Parker supervised the arrangements. The gifts were received by Misses Klea Searle and Elaine Brown, and arranged for display in the Relief Society room by Misses Helen Parker, Park-er, Ann Parker, Ruth Parker and Beth Ann Allen. |
