Meeting i ' Looking ahead in 1947'' was the keynote theme of a conference confer-ence of Utah Power & Light Company's Southern division sales personnel, district representatives repre-sentatives and other key people, held in Orem Tuesday, February 11th. Meeting with this group and projecting plans and suggestions sug-gestions for 1947 procedure were speakers from the company's general sales department, comprising com-prising W. A. Huckins, sales manager, man-ager, M. L. Cummings advertising advertis-ing and sales promotion manager, J. F. McAllister, manager of residential resi-dential sales, Miss Evelyn Hansen, Han-sen, home service director, J. H. Shaw, manager of commercial sales and G. B. Walker, manager of industrial sales. In discussing plans for 1947, Mr. Huckins stated that there seems to be every indication that business conditions in the area served by the power company will continue to improve in 1947. "There are more and more electrical elec-trical appliances and equipment becoming available in dealers' stores," he said, "and we hope the time is not far distant when we will be in a position to put on full speed ahead in doing our part to bring more and more benefits to users of electric servants serv-ants to the many thousands of people who have been waiting for them during the past several years". Mr. Cummings stressed the importance im-portance of the power company's com-pany's advertising as a source of information to the public concerning con-cerning the low-cost and value of its service and specific uses by various classes of custamers in the residential, commercial and industrial fields.
