Show Alpine News Mrs. L. Bates, Reporter. Mrs. Myers Marsh entertained the Happy Dozen at her home Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon of last week. The usual activities were engaged in after which a dainty lunch was served. ' Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Blakemore of Salt Lake were guests of Mrs. Benjamin Ben-jamin Bates Thursday afternoon. Mrs. George Brown and Mrs. John Q. Adams entertained the Daughters of Pioneers at .the home of Mrs. Brown Thursday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Briems, father and mother of Mrs. Adams and Mrs. Thomson of Lehi were present. Mrs. Briems read a history of the life of her mother, Mrs. Wilcox, a pioneer. A musical reading was given by La-Von La-Von Brown accompanied by Mrs. Jennie Wild, a duet was rendered by Mrs. Adams and Mr. Briems, a short talk on Spinning and Weav-;ing Weav-;ing in Pioneer Days, was given by Mrs. Annie Clark, a duet by Mrs. 'Angie Clark and Mrs. Martha Wilkin Wil-kin and a duet by Mr. and Mrs. ( Briems. Following the program a I dainty lunch was served. Mrs. Henry Wattis of Murray was the guest the latter part of the week of Mrs. Grace Bateman. I Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hendricks and children of Lund, Nevada, spent several days last week visiting Mrs. Hendrlck's sister, Mrs. Clarence Burgess. j Mr. and Mrs. Charles Clark were, called to Salt Lake Saturday on account of the death of Mrs. Clark's uncle, Mr. George Cracroft. " j Mr. Junius West of the Stake Board and Mrs. Rachel Grant Taylor Tay-lor of the General Board of the M. I. A. were the speakers at the Sun-. day evening meeting. " ! Mrs. Waldo Bateman entertained a number of the little friends of her daughter, Lorna, Tuesday after- j noon in honor of her birthday'. |
